Investment expectations of Russians and Ukrainians in Turkey

Share

Acting as an arbitrator to stop the war between Russia and Ukraine, Turkey came to the fore as a safe haven for investment. The attack on Ukraine, launched by Russia on February 23, put the country into economic chaos. Since February 22, it has faced 2,778 new sanctions, most of them economic.

After the closed doors of Russia's high-income group citizens, there was a serious demand to turn their savings into real estate in Turkey. Russians and Ukrainians, who met with agencies to invest in luxury and branded housing projects in Antalya and Istanbul, lined up to turn their savings into real estate in Turkey if the money transfer problem was resolved.

Russian and Ukrainian citizens, who previously visited Turkey for vacation, now prefer Turkey for investment and living purposes. In the meantime, comments are made that "If the money transfer problem is resolved, the market can double".
